(VLA / PLA) Huntington Beach Cleanup & VLA Back-to-School Social

All Sage Oak families are welcome at the beach cleanup! Families are also welcome to stay for our Beginning of the Year VLA social, which will follow immediately after, at the same location. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for grades TK-12th.
Join us for a meaningful and fun day at Huntington State Beach!
We're kicking off with the school year with an all-school beach cleanup, a wonderful opportunity for all of our students and families to come together, give back to the community, and help keep our coastlines clean. After a brief safety orientation, students and families will head out onto the sand with Sage Oak teachers to collect trash and make a difference.
Following the cleanup, all families are invited to stick around for the VLA Back-to-School Social at the same location! VLA students will get to meet their teachers and classmates, play beach games, and enjoy fun activities to kick off the school year.
Bring your own beach gear and a picnic blanket or lunch, and stay to relax and enjoy the day together. Let's build community and start an amazing school year in the sunshine!

***While this event is FREE for all participants, please reserve a ticket for everyone attending, so that we can have an accurate count for the event.
WAITLISTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER THE LAST TICKET IS SOLD.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
