Program for Advanced and Gifted Education (PAGE)
The goal of the Sage Oak PAGE program is to provide gifted & talented students in grades 3-8 opportunities to develop skills and understandings commensurate with their potential while recognizing their social and emotional needs.
Program Offerings
Students in PAGE will have access to specialized Oakschool course offerings, guest speakers, special programming (will vary by year), 1:1 advising sessions, and group gatherings. Webinars and a parent Facebook group will be offered to support parents of PAGE students.
Qualification for PAGE
Students are eligible to be assessed for the PAGE program at the end of second grade. Students may be identified in one of two categories: High Achieving Gifted Student or Intellucatally Gifted Student. Qualification is based on the standards listed below but the final decision is at the discretion of the Director of Student Services and the Advanced and Gifted Programs Coordinator. Students will be evaluated for PAGE only once every two years.
Criteria for Evaluation for PAGE
- OT or A in either English Language Arts or Math on their most recent report card.
- Scores in the 90th percentile on iReady in either Language Arts or Math
- CAASPP score of 4 (standard exceeded) in either English Language Arts or Maths for the past two years. (For third and fourth graders only 1 year is required.)
- Enrolled at Sage Oak for a minimum of 1 full semester (1 year preferred).
PAGE Evaluation
- Parents can fill out a PAGE Evaluation Request if they feel their student might be a good fit for the program.
- PAGE uses the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT3) to assess students for giftedness.
