We are so excited to celebrate your final year of high school with you! Below you will find important news, updates, to-dos, timelines, and links to prepare for this year.

Graduation Ceremony

When: Wednesday, June 4th, 2025

Time: 11 am – 3:00 pm

Grads arrived by 10:30am
Graduate-only run-through 11am
Ceremony 1–3 pm

Location: Fullerton HS Auditorium, 201 E. Chapman Ave. Fullerton, CA 92832

Graduate To-Dos

1. All graduates must fill out the Grad Survey with their EA at their LP 2 meeting.

2. Order your cap & gown and Class of 2025 merch as early as mid-October (see Josten’s info below)

3. Senior Submissions Form – grad portraits, quotes, and youth photos due by March 3, 2025 (Form will open in January 2025)

4. Class of 2025 – Ticket Out The Door which includes a post-high school plan, resume and FAFSA 

Cap & Gown and Senior Swag

 Purchase a Sage Oak Class of 2025 class ring, announcements, cap and gowns, and more! Visit the Sage Oak Jostens store for Grad Packages or click HERE to just order Cap & Gown. Sage Oak graduation gowns are dark gray (even though they may show a black or silver gown stock image on the website) and are the same gowns from previous years. Just need a 2025 tassel? Order HERE.

GRADUATE AWARDS & PERFORMERS

Graduate Service Award

Service is one of Sage Oak’s core values and an important way our students demonstrate their unique potential to impact their communities.The Graduate Service Award is awarded to one graduate who demonstrates this Sage Oak value through their community involvement and volunteering. The winner will give a speech at graduation, and although not guaranteed, past winners have also gotten a scholarship.

If you are a graduate and would like to nominate yourself, please fill out the 2025 Graduate Service Award form with details about how you have participated in community service and volunteer activities. Please submit the form no later than February 7th.

Graduate Performer

Help celebrate the Class of 2025 by sharing your talent! Each year, we highlight a graduate performer at the live ceremony and in our recorded ceremony. In the past we’ve had singers, singer songwriters, violinists and pianists, but we welcome all interested performers to submit their talents. If you are attending the in-person graduation and interested in sharing your talent, please fill out the Graduation Performer 2025 form and submit a sample recording/video no later than February 7th.

What: First Annual Sage Oak Homecoming! Invite Alum!!! Photo Booth, Dancing, DJ-L-Rod is back

Disney Grad Night

When: May 21, 2025 

Cost: $249 NO Instructional Funds may be used. Only 30 tickets are available

Where: Disneyland and California Adventure

Who: Class of 2025 students only (+ guests). Parents can’t be guests.

What: Full-Day Park Hopper ticket giving grads access to both Disney parks during normal business hours PLUS admission to Grad Nite Private Party Experience at California Adventure Park starting at 9PM.

Prom

When: Saturday, May 17, 2025

Time: 7-11pm

Where: House of Blues, Anaheim, CA

Who: All Sage Oak HS students

Senior Sunset

Senior Year Timeline for 4-Year College Admissions

FAFSA 

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid will be open in December and the deadline is April 2nd! The U.S. Department of Education uses the FAFSA to determine your eligibility for federal student aid, including low-cost loans, grants, and work-study. The FAFSA may also determine your eligibility for state and school aid as well. Filling out a financial aid application is a graduation requirement in the state of California. Scholarships

University of California (UC)

The UC application for Fall is now open and can be accessed at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply. The submission window for UC applications is August 1st – December 2. Applications cost $70 per campus.

California State University (CSU)

The CSU application will be available and can be submitted from October 1st- November 30th. The application can be accessed at  CAL STATE APPLY. Applications cost $70 per campus. See below for other due dates.

Common App

Nearly 900 private universities accept the Common Application, reducing your need to complete details for every college you apply to. Application deadlines vary from school to school, however, the common application is currently open and can be accessed at http://www.commonapp.org. GAP Year Programs

A gap year is a period of time when a student, recent graduate, or professional takes time off (a “gap”) from their studies or traditional work to focus on personal growth, gain new skills, explore other interests, and travel.
