We are so excited to celebrate your final year of high school with you! Below you will find important news, updates, to-dos, timelines, and links to prepare for this year.

Graduation Ceremony

When: Tuesday, June 4th 2024

Time: 11 am – 3:00 pm (Ceremony 1-3 pm)

Parents and graduates are invited to join us for our Grad Webinars throughout the year for updates, and information and to ask questions. Look for official dates, Zoom links, and recordings in the Monday updates from your educational advisor.

Graduate To-Dos

1. All graduates must fill out the graduation form with your EA by TBD.

2. Order your cap & gown and Class of 2024 merch as early as mid-October (see Josten’s info below)

3. Senior portraits, quotes, and youth photos due by March 1, 2024. Fill out the FAFSA and submit your submission confirmation here.

Cap & Gown and Senior Swag

Purchase a Sage Oak Class of 2024 class ring, announcements, cap and gowns, and more! Visit the Sage Oak page on Josten’s website or click here to just order a Cap & Gown. Sage Oak graduation gowns are gray (even though they may show a black or silver gown stock image on the Jostens website) and are the same gowns from previous years. Questions? Senior Sunrise

Senior Sunset

When: Friday, May 17th

Where: Bolsa Chica State Beach, Visitor Center, 17851 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach, CA 92649 (Between Visitor Center and Lifeguard Stand 21

Disney Grad Night

When: May 22, 2024 @ 11:00 am – May 23, 2024 @ 2:00 am
Cost: $218 NO IF’s Only 33 tickets
Where: Disneyland and California Adventure
Who: Class of 2024 students only (and guest)
What: Full-day park hopper ticket giving grads access to both Disney parks during normal business hours PLUS admission to Grad Nite Private Party Experience at California Adventure Park starting at 9 pm.

Applying to College

Use our month by month applying to college “to do” list for grads to help you stay on schedule!


The Free Application for Federal Student Aid will OPEN in December and the deadline is March 2nd! The U.S. Department of Education uses the FAFSA to determine your eligibility for federal student aid, including low-cost loans, grants, and work-study. The FAFSA may also determine your eligibility for state and school aid as well. Filling out a financial aid application is a graduation requirement in the state of California starting with the graduating class of 2023! University of California (UC’s)

The UC application for Fall is now open and can be accessed at The submission window for UC applications is August 1st – November 30th. Applications cost $70 per campus. Click here to view and listen to a presentation about the UC system and helpful links to apply.

California State University (CSU’s)

The CSU application will be available and can be submitted from October 1st- November 30th. The application can be accessed at  Cal State apply. Applications cost $70 per campus. Common App

Nearly 900 private universities accept the Common Application, reducing your need to complete details for every college you apply to. Application deadlines vary from school to school, however, the common application is currently open and can be accessed at Click here to listen to view and listen to a common app resource guide. 

GAP Year Programs

A gap year is a period of time when a student, recent graduate, or professional takes time off (a “gap”) from their studies or traditional work to focus on personal growth, gain new skills, explore other interests, and travel.
