(PLA) Barons Market & Grocery Tour

This event is open to TK–8th grade PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
Get ready for a delicious behind-the-scenes adventure at Barons Market! Students will explore the different departments of this neighborhood grocery store while learning how food makes its way from farms and producers to store shelves. Along the way, participants will have the opportunity to sample a variety of foods, shop throughout the store's departments, and even make fresh orange juice themselves!
This hands-on experience combines food, fun, and career exploration while giving students a new appreciation for the people and processes behind their everyday grocery store.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
