(PLA) Western Science Center: Fossil Lab Exploration
December 8 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

(Release Date: August 26th at 12:00 noon)
This event is for K-12th grade PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
Step back in time and uncover the science of the past at the Western Science Center! Students will explore fascinating exhibits featuring archaeology, paleontology, ecology, and the natural history of our region. Through fossils, interactive displays, and hands-on discoveries, students will learn how scientists uncover clues about life on Earth and piece together stories from long ago.
The adventure continues in the Fossil Find Lab where students will become paleontologists for the day! Using brushes, tweezers, magnifying glasses, and screens, students will sift through material to search for and identify real marine fossils, including shark teeth. It’s a hands-on exploration that brings the process of fossil discovery to life!
4 & under will not be able to participate in the Fossil Find Lab activity per venue age restrictions.
