(PLA) Greenspot Farms: Christmas Tree Tour

This event is for PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for PLA grades TK-8th.

Join us for a fun and educational field trip to Greenspot Farms, where students get the chance to explore real farm life during the most festive time of year—Christmas tree season!

Families will enjoy a guided farm tour packed with:

– Hayride: Wind through 28 acres of farmland with gorgeous valley views.
– Farm Animals: Meet and feed our friendly farm friends.
– Honey House: Watch live bees at work, taste fresh honey, and make your very own wax candle to take home.
– Tree Seedling to Take Home: Every student gets their own pine tree seedling to plant and grow.
– Farm Learning: Discover how Christmas trees are grown, from seedling to harvest—and why farming matters.

This one-hour tour is packed with firsthand experiences and interactive learning, making it perfect for young minds curious about nature and where their food (and their Christmas tree!) comes from.

After the tour, families can enjoy a picnic lunch in the fresh country air, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the farm — just remember to bring your own snacks!

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.

Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
