(PLA) Dave & Busters: STEAM Play Academy

This event is for PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for PLA grades K-8th.
Level up your learning at an exclusive Dave & Buster’s Play Academy experience! This exciting STEAM-based field trip combines hands-on science exploration with the fun of arcade games in a private event just for Sage Oak families.
Students will participate in the Physics Lab where they’ll discover Newton’s Laws of Motion by designing and modeling their own video games, forming and testing hypotheses, and exploring how energy and motion work. This educator-backed program transforms familiar games into engaging learning opportunities that bring physics concepts to life.
Best of all, Dave & Buster’s is opening two hours early exclusively for our group, giving Sage Oak students and families private access to the venue! After the educational lab, students can celebrate their discoveries with unlimited play on non-redemption arcade games. Food and beverages will be available for purchase during this field trip.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
