(PLA) Segerstrom Center: The Nutcracker
December 10 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This event is for PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for PLA grades 2nd-12th.
The Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa presents the critically acclaimed American Ballet Theatre (ABT) production of The Nutcracker. Choreographed by Alexei Ratmansky, this holiday classic features Tchaikovsky’s score played live by the Pacific Symphony. The Nutcracker is the tale of a young girl, Clara, who receives the gift of a nutcracker doll at her family’s Christmas party. In her dreams that night, the nutcracker doll comes to life as a handsome prince who joins her on a magical journey. Together, they travel to lands filled with dancing snowflakes, waltzing flowers, a mischievous Mouse King and other exotic characters, all brought to vivid life on stage by a cast of over 100 performers – including ABT principal ballerinas and talented students who are part of the local ABT Academy.
American Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker is one of the great joys of the holiday season!
