(PLA) Ontario Airport Tour

This event is for PLA students. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for PLA grades 1st-8th.
Join us for a special educational tour of Ontario International Airport (ONT) and discover how one of Southern California's major transportation hubs operates every day.
Students will learn about the history of ONT, from its early beginnings as Latimer Field to the modern international airport it is today. Participants will also get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at airport operations and the many systems that work together to keep air travel safe and efficient.
This career-focused experience will introduce students to the wide variety of career pathways available within the aviation industry and the important role each plays in airport operations.
Whether your student is interested in aviation or simply curious about how airports work, this unique field trip offers a fascinating look at an industry that connects people and places around the world.
Please note that tour activities are subject to airport operational requirements and security protocols.
Career Focus: Transportation
Due to extremely limited capacity, participation is restricted to Sage Oak students only, with one parent/guardian per family. If multiple Sage Oak students from the same family are participating, they may attend together with a single accompanying adult. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate additional adults or siblings who are not enrolled Sage Oak students.

Adult Ticket: $3
WAITLISTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER THE LAST TICKET IS SOLD.
Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
