| Field Trip Release #1 |
 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 1 WEEK ONLY you will be able to sign up for field trips through February! Follow the steps below and email events@sageoak.education with any questions. Please note, that with the launch of the new Sage Oak website, everyone will need to create a new account to sign up for field trips. |
| Step 1: Check out this guide with all of the VLA information and trips that will be available. Step 2: Create a field trip account on the Sage Oak website before Monday, September 11th at 8 am. Step 3: Sign up Monday, September 11th at 8 am through Monday, September 18th at 11:59 pm. This will be for all trips from September through February. |
 Local Assessments: iReady and easyCBM |
| In an effort to support all of our students as effectively as possible, all local assessments should be completed by Friday, September 15th, unless your student started after August 28th. The iReady test is mandatory for all students. If students are more than 2 grade levels below in reading or math, then additional testing through easyCBM is being administered. Please note that testing meetings are required. Thank you in advance for your cooperation! |
 Teacher Conferences |
| Everyone will be receiving an invitation to join a conference with their teacher soon. Conferences will be from September 15th-29th. Our teachers will review the results from the local assessments as well as discuss intervention or advanced group placements. |
 ️September Assembly |
| Once a month we have a student assembly with a dress-up day, student highlights, and a raffle. Our theme for this month is excellence. Excellence is one of our Student Learner Outcomes (SLOs). We want our students to do their best, demonstrate higher-order thinking, demonstrate the ability to produce solutions, and be college and career-ready upon high school graduation. We will be highlighting one specific student in each class for their excellence and will also be raffling In-N-Out gift cards for students nominated for their excellence. |

| We are excited to announce our very own 23-24 Virtual Learning Academy Yearbook this year! The cost is $26.83 and there is a 10% discount on all orders made now through October, but the yearbook can be purchased through the end of April.
