Curriculum Corner: Math Manipulatives Using math manipulatives can make a big difference in helping your child understand key math concepts! Manipulatives like blocks, counters, fraction circles, and base-ten blocks give kids a hands-on way to see and explore abstract ideas. By physically grouping, arranging, or building with manipulatives, your child can better grasp topics such as place value, fractions, geometry, and more. This approach turns math from a set of rules into an engaging visual and tactile experience. Manipulatives are especially helpful for students who benefit from seeing and touching math, as they build a strong, intuitive foundation that can support more complex problem-solving skills down the road. Check out these potential options. |
