November 7, 2024 Dear Sage Oak Community, We are aware that some of our Sage Oak families and staff in Ventura County may be impacted by the Mountain Fire. As of this morning, the Mountain Fire has spread to 14,500 acres, with extensive damage to multiple homes. First responders and emergency personnel continue to work to contain this fast-moving fire, and we encourage you to stay informed and follow any guidance provided by fire officials. Evacuation orders have been issued for several zones in the affected areas. Evacuation warnings are also in place for surrounding areas. For up-to-date information on the Mountain Fire evacuation orders, shelters, and road closures, visit the CalFire incident page or contact the Fire Information Hotline at 805-465-6650. For immediate shelter for your family or animals, the following evacuation centers have been established: Padre Serra Parish – 5205 Upland Road, Camarillo, CA 93012 Ventura County Animal Services (Small Animals) – 600 Aviation Drive, Camarillo, CA 93010 Ventura County Fairgrounds (Large Animals) – 10 E.
