News & Updates LCAP Feedback Needed! We want to hear from you! Student and parent feedback is needed on the short 5-question LCAP survey below. Our primary aim is to introduce students to the wide array of college and career possibilities and cultivate a college-bound mindset. Look for the event flyer with all the details coming out next week! Give Back In November: Looking for a way to give back to your community? Our Sage Oak Volunteer Committee has created a number of ways that students and parents can volunteer each week in November with their November Service Activity Ideas. Participate, take pictures and submit them to the Yearbook Committee to be featured on our volunteer page! Spring Semester Community College Classes: If you are interested in taking concurrent enrollment classes at a community college for spring semester, NOW is the time to start planning! Although community colleges may have slight differences, the enrollment process for high school students at most community colleges follows these basic steps: APPLY. Students must apply to the college (often each semester) on CCC Apply. APPROVAL. Once a student has received confirmation that they have been accepted by the college, they can submit the college’s concurrent approval form to Sage Oak. Be sure to check with your EA about which classes you are interested in getting approved since they need to submit an in-house form as well. REGISTER. Once we have approved and submitted your concurrent enrollment form, you will be able to register for your approved classes on the college portal! PAY. Although high school student usually don’t have to pay the per unit fee for classes, most colleges still require a health or student services fee (note – IFs cannot be used for these). Having trouble finding a particular college class? If you need a particular college class that isn’t offered spring semester or is full at your local college, you can use California Virtual Campus to search all online community college classes in California! Try our partner sections with Crafton! Remember that you can also enroll in our Sage Oak-only partner sections at Crafton Hills College! CLASS OF 2025 Grad Night: The Class of 2025 Grad Night at Disney’s CA Adventure is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, 2025 11AM to May 22 2AM. The pass includes a full-day park hopper ticket plus admission to the Grad Night private party. ONLY 30 tickets will be available! Purchase tickets HERE. Students can bring a non-Sage Oak guest that is also a graduate of 2025. (Note: Parents cannot be guests.) Cap & Gown Orders: Senior Order Week is now over, but graduates canstill order their cap and gown along with other Class of 2025 gear at our Sage Oak Jostens store! If you’re planning on taking grad photos for announcements, we recommend ordering your cap and gown in in November to ensure it arrives in time! |
Student Spotlight Welcome to our Student Spotlight where we highlight some of our amazing Sage Oak high school students and their accomplishments in and outside of the classroom! Amellaly Gaspar is a Sage Oak 11th grader who brings energy and enthusiasm towards life and all of her activities, according to her EA Deanna Bennett! She shows her hard work and dedication in her academic courses, is a member of Sage Oak’s National Honor Society and volunteers at her church. While Amy is already bilingual, she is working on becoming trilingual! She speak Spanish fluently and is currently registering for a spring community college class in Spanish 3. She’s also taking ASL 2 with our own Ms. Jones. This semester she has enjoyed the Crafton partner class Student Success and the College Experience. This has helped prepare her for college level work and her future goals of becoming a speech therapist! |

HS EVENTS FRIDAY Eaton Canyon Hike: Dust off your hiking boots and join us on a 3.5-mile out and back hike in Eaton Canyon November 8th, 10am! Look for Sage Oak staff at Eaton Canyon Trailhead. All are welcome – no sign up needed! HS FIELD TRIPS THURSDAY Mobile Ultrasound Unit Tour: Ever wondered how ultrasounds really work? Join our CTE Child Development 1 class this Thursday, November 7 from 12-1pm for a FREE one-hour tour of the Wildwood Women’s Center Mobile Ultrasound truck in Yucaipa! FRIDAY Wild Good Coffee Roasters: All high school students are invited to join our CTE Entrepreneurship class as they tour the Wild Goose Coffee Roasters espresso bar, roasting rooms, and warehouse in Redlands, CA.
