This week, Sage Oak High School is celebrating… ![]() 🌟Devan Curtis (9th Grade)🌟 Excelling both on the court and in the classroom, Declan Curtis has built an impressive record as a dedicated and versatile student-athlete over the past five years. As a dynamic outside hitter for her former private school and a defensive libero for her club team, she has demonstrated adaptability, discipline, and a strong competitive spirit. Her commitment extends year-round, including beach volleyball, where she continues to refine her skills and showcase her work ethic. Beyond athletics, Declan is known as a positive and supportive peer who brings creativity and curiosity into everything she does. She consistently seeks out new opportunities to grow, both academically and personally, embodying a mindset focused on continuous improvement. With a clear passion for health and wellness, Declan is beginning to pursue her career interests in nursing or physical therapy. She has taken an important first step by enrolling in Sage Oak’s CTE Sports Medicine 1 course, where she is building foundational knowledge for her future path. Mock Job Interview Activity Help your student step confidently into their future by connecting them with real-world experience. Our mock job interview program the week of May 18th-22nd pairs high school students with community members, giving them the chance to practice professional communication, build confidence, and receive valuable feedback. Students will attend a training session the week of May 4th-8th on how to conduct themselves, dress, and answer job interview questions to prepare for a successful mock interview. Sage Oak is now accepting applications for the National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). The application deadline is May 8th, and selected candidates will be notified of their acceptance in June. Hear from our NJHS members!
