(PLA) Santa Ana College Fire Academy

This event is for 6th-12th grade PLA students. Children younger than 6th grade are not permitted to attend. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Limit of one adult per student.
Visit the Santa Ana College Fire Academy in Huntington Beach to learn about an exciting career in fire fighting. This academy is one of the largest and oldest fire technology programs in California. It is nationally recognized as a premier fire-training program. Students will hear an introduction to the college program and the career from the Director of Fire Instruction. Then, students will head outside to observe the academy in action as future fighters learn how to control active fire with live flame exercises.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
