(PLA) Second Harvest Food Bank: Fueling our Community

This event is for 2nd-12th grade PLA students and their families. Children younger than 2nd grade (7 years old) are not permitted to attend. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
Join Sage Oak friends for an afternoon on the farm as we give back to our local community by volunteering with Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County! We will be volunteering at Founders Farm which provides fresh local produce to children, families and seniors experiencing food insecurity in our community. To date, the farm has harvested a variety of lettuces including romaine, Swiss chard, bok choy, arugula, red sail lettuce and kale in raised, above ground garden beds. Volunteers at Founders Farm contribute to planting, harvesting, weeding, and general field maintenance of the raised beds.
This field trip is free, but due to limited capacity tickets must be claimed below in order to attend.
Accompanying adult tickets are required, Please be sure to claim an adult ticket. Students and siblings may not attend without an accompanying adult.
WAITLISTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER THE LAST TICKET IS SOLD.
Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
