(PLA ONLY) 6th-12th Grade Knott’s Berry Farm Energy in Motion Tour

Release Date: December 6th at 12pm

This event is for PLA Sage Oak students and families and is recommended for 6th-12th grade and advanced learners. All students must be accompanied by an adult.

Science comes to life with our rides and Knott’s Berry Farm! Our Energy in Motion tour utilizes

our varied selection of rides and roller coasters, giving you the opportunity to discuss subjects

such a centrifugal force, mass, inertia, and more while you experience how each concept relates

our rides.

Experiments and Concepts

• Silver Bullet (54”) – Potential energy, Kinetic energy, Inertia, Gravity

• Supreme Scream (52”) – Force = Mass x Acceleration, Gravity, Projectile Motion

• Wipeout (48”) – Centripetal Force, Centrifugal feeling, Inertia

• La Revolucion (48”) – Revolution vs Rotation and Pendulums

• Log Ride (46”) – Buoyance/Density

Please keep in mind that the Educational Tours at Knott’s Berry Farm are best for 1st graders and up. If you have children that do not meet the height requirements for rides on the tour, Knotts kindly suggests that you stay with your younger child and meet up with your student at the end of the ride.
