(PLA) NASA: Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) Guided Tour

This event is for 3rd-12th grade PLA students and their families. Children younger than 3rd grade are not permitted to attend. All students must be accompanied by an adult. LIMIT: ONE ADULT PER FAMILY.
Have you been awed by views of desolate Martian Valleys, swirling storms above Jupiter, and the icy blades ringing Saturn? Then you have journeyed with NASA JPL spacecraft and rovers. Their missions have flown to every planet and the Sun in a quest to understand our place in the universe. Get a behind the scenes look at Jet Propulsion Laboratory - a leader in robotic space exploration and manufacturer of the Mars Rovers. These unique guided tours commonly include a multimedia presentation on JPL entitled "Journey to the Planets and Beyond," and also visits to the von Karman Visitor Center, the Space Flight Operations Facility, and the Spacecraft Assembly Facility.
**The tour includes considerable walking and stair climbing.**
**All US Citizens, 18 years of age and older, will be required to present a REAL ID or valid passport for JPL tour check-in. All non-U.S. Citizens 18 years of age or older must present a valid passport or resident visa (green card) before being allowed entry. Individuals without proper identification will not be admitted to the Laboratory. Those under 18 are not required to present IDs.**

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
