(PLA) Fleet Science Center & IMAX Adventure

This event is for TK–12th grade PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
Get ready for a day of discovery at the Fleet Science Center in beautiful Balboa Park! Students will explore hands-on exhibits that bring science, technology, engineering, and math to life through interactive learning and creative problem-solving. From physics and engineering challenges to fascinating displays about the world around us, there is something to spark curiosity for every age.
As part of our visit, students will also experience the wonder of an immersive IMAX film on the Giant Dome Theater, where larger-than-life visuals and incredible storytelling make learning unforgettable.
This exciting educational adventure encourages students to think critically, explore new ideas, and discover how science impacts our everyday lives while creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
