(HS CTE) Universal Studios: Stunts & Pyro Tech Tour

This event is for 9th-12th grade (HS ONLY) PLA students and their families. The 2 hour eduational tour portion is Drop Off Only.
Join your fellow high school peers for a behind the scenes Careers in Stunt Engineering & Special Effects at Universal Studios’ WaterWorld!
Give your student a rare, hands-on look at the STEM careers behind one of Hollywood’s most iconic stunt shows. In this exclusive on-site class, students work directly with a WaterWorld technician to investigate the engineering, physics, and problem-solving behind the show’s most famous moments.Through guided observation and real scientific methodology, students see firsthand how the physics and math translate into skilled, in-demand careers in entertainment technology, live production, and engineering.
Career Focus: Arts, Media & Entertainment
***Students will be dropped off for the educational session and reunite with family afterward to explore Universal Studios Hollywood together.
***Important note on timing: We are planning for a 9:00 AM start, though Universal cannot confirm exact times until two weeks prior. While a later start past 10:00 AM is unlikely — we’ll confirm as soon as we know.
Sage Oak Student Ticket: $114

*** You must have a High School Sage Oak Student attend the educational tour in order to purchase additional tickets for adults and siblings.
***General Admission tickets for younger siblings are not eligible for payment through instructional funds, as they do not include an educational component.
WAITLISTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER THE LAST TICKET IS SOLD.
Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
