(HS-CTE) Claremont Chefs Academy: Behind the Apron

This is a drop-off field trip for 9th-12th grade PLA students. Children younger than 9th grade may not attend.

Calling all future chefs, bakers, restaurateurs, and food enthusiasts! Join us for an exclusive high school field trip to Claremont Chef’s Academy, where students will gain hands-on culinary experience while exploring exciting career opportunities within the food industry.

Students will roll up their sleeves and learn how to make delicious Lasagna Rolls and refreshing Cherry Limeade completely from scratch while working alongside culinary professionals. In addition to cooking, students will participate in a special career-focused discussion covering culinary school, industry pathways, entrepreneurship, restaurant management, baking, catering, and other opportunities within the culinary arts.

This unique experience combines practical kitchen skills with valuable career exploration, allowing students to hear firsthand from professionals about their educational journeys, industry experiences, and advice for pursuing a career in the culinary world. Whether students are already considering culinary school or simply curious about where a passion for food can lead, this field trip offers an engaging and inspiring look into the many possibilities available within the industry.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.

Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
