(8th-12th grade Drop Off ONLY – PLA & VLA) Sacramento Civics and Cal State Tour

This event is for 8th-12th grade Sage Oak students and is drop off only.

Join us for an unforgettable one-day adventure to Sacramento!

Students will explore the state capitol, tour California State University Sacramento, and visit exciting sites like Old Town, the Vietnam Memorial, and the Museum of Science and Curiosity. They’ll learn about state government, meet their representatives, and discover future college opportunities—all while bonding with fellow Sage Oak students through shared experiences.
Trip includes: Round-trip airfare, deluxe motorcoach transportation, lunch, dinner, all activities, and a professional educational tour guide.

***Early morning airport drop-off (as early as 5:00 AM) and late evening pickup (around 9:30 PM or later)
***Departure airport will be in the Los Angeles area, most likely LAX

$0 VLA Scholarship (VLA 8th grade students only)
*Interested VLA students must complete this Scholarship Google Form and sign up for a waitlist ticket below.
*If selected, we will release your ticket to confirm your attendance at a later date.

$150 Deposit due at the time of reservation (a $7 admin fee will be added to each transaction)
Final balance due: December 18th

Payment Options:

1. Full Payment — 1st Semester Instructional Funds ($567 total)
*Entire cost is covered by your student’s 1st semester instructional funds — no out-of-pocket payment required.
*Before choosing this option, confirm with your student’s teacher/EA that $567 in funds are available.
*If funds turn out to be insufficient, we cannot switch you to another payment option after the fact, and any out-of-pocket amount already paid is non-refundable.

2. Split Payment — 1st Semester Instructional Funds + Out-of-Pocket
*Pay a $150 deposit + $7 admin fee out-of-pocket today ($157 total due now).
*At checkout, choose how much of the remaining balance to cover with 1st semester instructional funds, in $50 increments.
*Any portion not covered by instructional funds is paid out-of-pocket.
*Confirm available funds with your student’s teacher/EA before checkout.
*No refunds for out-of-pocket amounts if funds turn out to be insufficient.

3. Split Payment — 1st Semester + 2nd Semester Instructional Funds
*Pay a $150 deposit + $7 admin fee out-of-pocket today ($157 total due now).
*At checkout, choose how much of the remaining balance to cover with 1st semester instructional funds, in $50 increments (partial or full amount).
*Any remaining balance is then covered using 2nd semester instructional funds.
*Confirm available funds with your student’s teacher/EA before checkout.
*No refunds for out-of-pocket amounts if funds turn out to be insufficient.

4. Fully Out-of-Pocket ($567 total)
*Pay a $150 deposit + $7 admin fee today ($157 total due now).
*Remaining balance ($410) is due December 19th, paid directly to Educational Discovery Tours.

5. VLA Scholarship (VLA 8th Grade Students Only)
*Total cost: $0
*Interested students must complete this Google Form and sign up for a waitlist ticket below.
*If selected, we will release your ticket at a later date to confirm attendance.

Important Notes:
***All deposits are non-refundable.
***Only the deposit is required today to reserve your student’s spot.
***Remaining balances are paid directly through Educational Discovery Tours — not through this sign-up. You’ll receive instructions for creating an account with them after registration closes.
***You can pay the remaining balance in installments or as one lump sum — whichever works best for you.
***Final payment is due by December 18th.

WAITLISTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER THE LAST TICKET IS SOLD.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.

Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
