(3rd grade VLA) Â Discovery Cube: World of Motion

This event is for 3rd Grade VLA students and their families only. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Families must have a VLA 3rd grader in order to attend. VLA students in other grades must purchase a sibling ticket.
Enjoy the Discovery Cube OC World of Motion field trip with your 3rd grade class! This 3-hour field trip features a workshop style experience about gravity, friction, potential and kinetic energy, energy transfer, Newton's Laws of motions, and engineer design! There will also be guided small group lab time, data collection worksheets, and time for Science Center exploration of the various things spaces. While parents are welcome to observe the lesson, 3rd grade students will be the only participants in the small group lab time.
Please keep in mind that space is extremely limited and this field trip is a chance for your VLA student to bond with their fellow grade level classmates. In order to keep the focus on our students, tickets will be limited to ONE adult per VLA student unless absolutely necessary. You may purchase a maximum of two additional sibling tickets per VLA student if needed.

Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
