End of Learning Period
This Friday, please be sure to sign and return the learning log your teacher sends via email. Remember, while there is flexibility built into each learning period, all work must be submitted by Friday, September 18th. Late work will not be accepted. This helps your teacher claim accurate attendance for your child.

If you are not sure how to check student work, please watch this tutorial to learn how to view it on the desktop and app versions of Canvas Student. We know this process may be new for some families, and we’re here to help! If you have any questions about submitting work, deadlines, or expectations, please reach out to your teacher.

Clear for Takeoff: The High-Flying World of Aviation with Ryan Kilgore

Have you ever wondered how massive airplanes defy gravity? Join corporate pilot and mechanical engineer Ryan Kilgore as we step into the high-flying world of aviation! Over his 20-year career, Ryan has flown over 50 different aircraft, from skydiving demo flights and cargo planes to medical evacuation jets and Alaskan seaplanes.

During this interactive session, students will get a live tour inside and outside of Ryan’s airplane and participate in a hands-on physics experiment using paper to discover the science of how wings create lift!

Come prepared to learn about this high-flying career by joining Sage Stage on Friday, September 25th at 9 am.

PAGE – Program for Advanced and Gifted Education
Sage Oak’s PAGE (Program for Advanced and Gifted Education) supports gifted, talented, and high-achieving students in grades 3–8 by providing opportunities that challenge and engage advanced learners. Reach out to your child’s teacher to begin the screening process. Students previously identified as gifted and talented at another school do not need to be reassessed if their GATE identification can be verified.
