 Sage Stage at 9am on Friday Join our Sage Stage tomorrow, October 11th at 9:00 AM as we welcome Mr. George Maurer, an accomplished concert pianist, composer, multimedia storyteller, and adventure cyclist! With 35 years of experience in the music industry, Mr. Maurer will guide us through the fascinating fusion of math and music, igniting a unique understanding of mathematical operations and patterns within compositions!  Sign Up for our Winter Social There are 4 weeks left to sign up for our winter social! This is a FREE event where all of our teachers will be present. It will take place on Friday, December 6th from 9:30am-11:30am at the Westwind Community Center in Ontario. Classes will spend time together playing games, participating in crafts, and enjoying a Magician who will be performing tricks from around the world (there will be an alternative activity available during the magic show). | Hello! I am Mrs. Lake. I’m thrilled to start my 16th year in education with you! I’ve served our Sage Oak community in a variety of capacities as a PLA teacher, ELPAC Examiner, Summer School Coordinator, a la carte Virtual Teacher, Diversity Council, Virtual Learning Teacher, and Sage Stage host. My 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Peterson, inspired me to become a teacher (I still see her around town!). She made learning fun and taught us that mistakes are an important part of the learning process. In my class, emotional wellness is just as important as academic progress. My favorite thing about teaching is creating a safe space where we can practice critical thinking and conversation to see the connections between what we are learning in 7th and how it will apply to the rest of our lives! |
