| Welcome Back, VLA Families, and Happy New Year! We hope you had a restful and joyful winter break! We had a wonderful time celebrating our students before the break for their teamwork during our December assemblies. Here are the TK-5th grade and 6-8th grade assembly recordings if you weren’t able to attend. We’re also excited to jump back into learning as we start the new year. With less than three weeks left in the semester, we encourage students to stay focused and finish strong, remembering we’re here to support them every step of the way! January Theme of the Month: Goal Setting This month, we’re focusing on goal setting and helping students learn how to set meaningful goals, stay organized, and take steps toward success. We’ll be encouraging students to reflect on their progress and celebrate growth along the way!  Oakschool Enrollment for Quarter 3 Oakschool enrollment remains open for quarter 3! Our VLA program will purchase required materials for 1 art and 1 enrichment class per quarter. To be eligible to receive these provided materials for Quarter 3 classes, parents must register for classes by Monday, January 12th. Any registrations beyond that date or beyond the 1 art and 1 enrichment course, parents will be responsible for procuring the required class materials. Oakschool Virtual College Tour Day Register today to attend our first ever Oakschool Virtual College Tour Day hosted by our very own Oakschool College Interns! Students can tour National University, University of California Riverside, Riverside City College, San Diego State and Loma Linda University all from the comfort of their homes! We highly recommend that you practice going through the process of signing up for a field trip with our Field Trip to the Moon! It’s a wonderful moment to be intentional about serving our communities. Sage Serves, Sage Oak’s in-house service recognition program, allows students to track their volunteer hours and be celebrated for their contributions. Participation not only strengthens character and leadership skills but can also help students explore interests that may shape their future paths. It’s not too late to join—our Sage Serves cycle ends on April 30, 2026. If you are interested, here’s how to get started: To register, please complete this survey in its entirety. Academic Help, Anytime for all 4th – 12th graders Did you know Sage Oak provides access to Tutor.com for all 4th-12th graders? Tutor.com connects students with live, on-demand tutors in a wide range of subjects, including math, ELA/writing, science, social studies, and more. Students can get help with homework questions, test prep, essay feedback, and skill-building support, anytime they need it. Sessions are available 24/7, including after school, evenings, and weekends, making it a flexible support tool for busy schedules.
