The Sage Oak spirit store will open on Friday, September 10th!

Parent Training on Top Picks of Recommended Curriculums

Sage Oak Students and West L.A. Community College

We are very excited to announce that Sage Oak will be partnering with West L.A. Community College to offer college courses online to our qualified students. Depending on student interest, we may be able to hold seats in some college courses for our students.

As an added benefit, students will be in class with other Sage Oak students AND we will provide support via our Sage Oak Extension course.

There is no cost in instructional funds for the college course or the Sage Oak Extension course. (There may be a cost for course texts/materials depending on the course). Please complete the survey linked below by Thursday, September 9th, 2021. Thank you!

Advanced Learning Programs and Services Needs Assessment

We are very excited about our new Advanced Learning Programs and Services (ALPS) branch at Sage Oak Charter Schools. ALPS seeks to identify and support advanced learners through educational and enrichment opportunities, personalized support, and community engagement.

In an effort to build a program that meets the needs of students and their parents, we would like to get your input and learn more about what factors are important to you in the areas of program design, identification, curriculum and instruction, social and emotional learning, and parental involvement.

Sage Oak Extension Course (SOX)
Don’t forget to mark your calendars! This course will be offered each semester for students enrolled in community college courses.

SOX provides support for students concurrently enrolled in community college courses.

The course is open to any Sage Oak student taking a community college course. Topics will include time management, study skills, course selection, communication skills, navigating college policies, and more! In addition, we are partnering with West Los Angeles Community College and will be utilizing their Introduction to Post-Secondary Education curriculum.

The course will be offered on Tuesdays at 11:00 AM beginning on September 14th and will be recorded. (One semester; Free course; Pass/No Pass only).

Sage Oak’s Online Lending Library is going LIVE!

Our much-anticipated inaugural Online Lending Library ordering window will be open and available to our Sage Oak families enrolled in the Personalized Learning Academy on Thursday, September 16th at 10:00 am through Thursday, September 30th.

Subsequent ordering windows will open throughout the school year (dates TBD). Sage Oak’s Online Lending Library currently contains 5,000+ materials/items for lending purposes. Families may access our online lending library to peruse and borrow available items for minimal shipping/handling fees. All shipping and handling fees will be deducted from student Instructional Fund accounts. Please make sure your student has sufficient instructional funds available prior to submitting a Lending Library order, as you are unable to pay for applicable shipping/handling fees out of pocket. Please review all pertinent information via the following links. As this is the first year offering this service, we appreciate your patience as we get this system up and running to its full potential.
