School Closure Reminder: Memorial Day

Sage Oak Promotion Ceremonies: Updates
We are excited to announce the upcoming promotions for our Kindergarten, 5th, and 8th-grade students at Sage Oak Charter Schools, scheduled for June 3rd and 4th. These ceremonies will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our students’ achievements and hard work throughout the year. Please pay close attention to each location’s timeline to ensure you don’t miss any important details regarding the events. We look forward to celebrating our students’ accomplishments and honoring this significant milestone in their educational journey!

Accessing 2026 CAASPP/CAST/ELPAC Scores
2026 CAASPP/CAST/ELPAC (if applicable) scores are beginning to become available! Families can access student scores through the Parent Portal as reports are released by the state in batches throughout the summer. If your student’s scores are not yet available, please check back periodically. As always, your student’s teacher is the best resource for any questions you may have regarding score reports or student performance. To learn more about your child’s scores and view the Student Score Report (SSR), click here: CAASPP – Starting Smarter or ELPAC- Starting Smarter. If you need help with accessing the parent portal, please contact support@sageoak.education.

To access student scores, ENTER the portal:

Go to your home screen:
Select the “Reports” tab
Select the “Test Results” tab
Click the 2026 CAASPP/ CAST/ELPAC Score Report PDF link

New this year, California has updated the way CAASPP English Language Arts, Math, and Science results are reported. The achievement level labels have been simplified to better reflect student growth and progress. The new performance levels are:

Minimal
Developing
Proficient
Advanced

These updated labels replace the previous terms such as “Standard Not Met” and “Standard Exceeded,” making it easier for families to understand student performance at a glance. For additional information, please refer to the flyer linked below.

New Sage Studio Episode “Exploring Trade School Opportunities for High School Students”
In this episode, host, Tiffiny Webster welcomes Sage Oak High School counselor Coral Prendergast to discuss growing student interest in the trade school pathway. Coral highlights common trade careers such as electrician, welder, construction, cosmetology, firefighter, and EMT, often available affordably through community colleges. She walks through a Trade School Resource Hub she and a team created, including a recorded parent webinar, community-college program search tools by career or by school, and industry-sector tabs with descriptions, certifications students can pursue in high school, and county-based listings of community colleges and private trade programs with cost, length, and links.
