All Sage Oak families are welcome at the beach cleanup! Families are also welcome to stay for our Beginning of the Year VLA social, which will follow immediately after, at the same location. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for grades TK-12th.
Join us for a meaningful and fun day at Huntington State Beach!
We’ll kick things off with an all-school beach cleanup in honor of the 41st anniversary of California Coastal Cleanup Day. This is a wonderful opportunity all of our students and families to come together, give back to the community, and help keep our coastlines clean. After a brief safety orientation, students and families will head out onto the sand with Sage Oak teachers to collect trash and make a difference.
Following the cleanup, all families are invited to stick around for a Back-to-School Social at the same location! Our VLA students will also be able to meet their teachers and classmates, play beach games, and participate in fun activities to kick off the school year.
Families are encouraged to bring their own beach gear and picnic blankets/lunch to relax and enjoy the day together. Let’s build community and kick off an amazing school year in the sunshine together!
