This event is for 1st Grade VLA students and their families only. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
🚀 Blast Off to the San Diego Air & Space Museum! 🌟
Join your VLA 1st grade classmates for an exciting day at the San Diego Air & Space Museum! Explore aviation history with exhibits on the Wright Brothers, Amelia Earhart, Neil Armstrong, and more. Experience MaxFlight® simulators, a 3D/4D movie theater, and hands-on exhibits that take you to the stars!
In our Return to the Moon workshop, you’ll build moon landers and create your own space community—just like future astronauts!
Don’t miss this chance to bond with your teachers and classmates while exploring the wonders of flight and space.
Please keep in mind that space is limited and this field trip is a chance for your VLA student to BOND with their fellow grade level classmates. In order to keep the focus on our students, please limit your tickets to ONE adult per VLA student unless absolutely necessary. You may purchase a maximum of two additional tickets per VLA student if needed.
Important note: Siblings and parents will not participate in the workshop. While the 1st graders & their teachers are in the workshop, siblings and parents can explore the museum or enjoy the Moon Base room.

***Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.

While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
