(PLA) California Wolf Tour: A Real Wolf Encounter

This event is open to K–12 PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult.

Get ready for a wild adventure at the California Wolf Center! Students and families will have the unique opportunity to learn about one of North America’s most fascinating animals while exploring the important role wolves play in healthy ecosystems.

Led by knowledgeable wildlife educators, this engaging tour will introduce students to the true history, behavior, and conservation of wolves. Participants will discover how the California Wolf Center is helping protect wolf populations through education, research, and conservation efforts, while learning how wolves, livestock, and people can successfully coexist.

Along the way, students will gain a deeper understanding of wildlife conservation, animal behavior, ecosystems, and environmental stewardship. This unforgettable experience is perfect for animal lovers, aspiring biologists, and curious learners who want to get a closer look at these incredible creatures and the efforts being made to protect them for future generations.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.

Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
