This event is for 5th Grade VLA students and their families only. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Families must have a VLA 5th grader in order to attend. VLA students in other grades must purchase a sibling ticket.
Join your fellow 5th grade classmates for an exciting journey through space at the OCC Planetarium! In this immersive, full-dome show, students will explore fascinating concepts like the inner workings of Earth’s great life support system: the global climate. With visualizations based on satellite monitoring data and advanced supercomputer simulations, this cutting-edge production follows a trail of energy that flows from the Sun into the interlocking systems that shape our climate: the atmosphere, oceans, and the biosphere.
Audiences will ride along on swirling ocean and wind currents, dive into the heart of a monster hurricane, come face-to-face with sharks and gigantic whales, and fly into roiling volcanoes.
Don't miss this out-of-this-world experience!
Please keep in mind that space is limited and this field trip is a chance for your VLA student to BOND with their fellow grade level classmates. In order to keep the focus on our students, please limit your tickets to ONE adult per VLA student unless absolutely necessary. You may purchase a maximum of two additional tickets per VLA student if needed.
