(4th Grade VLA) Skate Express: Music & Math

This event is for 4th Grade VLA students and their families only. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Families must have a VLA 4th grader in order to attend. VLA students in other grades must purchase a sibling ticket.

Sibling Ticket: $17

Adult Ticket: $13
Join your fellow 4th grade VLA classmates for a unique field trip that blends the thrill of roller skating with an exciting STEM music-and-math lesson! Students will learn to count beats in the music and use rhythm to guide their skating, explore how different types of music influence skating speed, and discover how the beat can even help control the pace of skaters on the rink.
This hands-on experience brings STEM concepts to life while students bond with classmates and teachers—learning, laughing, and rolling together.

What to Expect:
1-hour STEM lesson exploring the connection between math and roller skating.
2 hours of skating and enjoying time together!
Every person attending ages 3 & up must purchase a ticket.
- All tickets include entry and skate rental. Bringing your own skates or not planning to skate? No worries, ticket pricing stays the same!
- Children 3 and under are free unless they skate (smallest skate size: kids' 9).
- Snack bar available for individual purchases.
