Sage Oak Charter Schools Celebrates 10 Years of Personalized Educational Excellence and Innovation
August 2024 [Redlands, CA] – Sage Oak Charter Schools are proud to announce a significant milestone in their journey of educational excellence: this year marks the beginning of our tenth year! Over the past nine years, Sage Oak has dedicated itself to expanding and refining programs to support each and every student, and this year is no exception.
In our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, we have launched a Virtual Learning Academy that allows students the opportunity to learn in a virtual classroom setting. After creating virtual enrichment options for all students during the pandemic, regardless of whether they were enrolled at Sage Oak, we launched a virtual enrichment program, now called Oakschool to better serve our students. Oakschool provides core and enrichment classes taught by our credentialed teachers, opportunities to learn outside through physical education, art classes taking place at local parks, outdoor school classes where students explore nature by participating in group hikes with other students, and college and career pathways.
As we celebrate this tenth year, we are excited to introduce new opportunities for our middle school students, integrate comprehensive career skills into our K-12 pathways that lead to Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways in high school, and continue to provide concurrent or dual enrollment, where Sage Oak high school students can easily enroll in community college courses that count as credit toward graduation. ensuring that all students have access to the resources they need to thrive and reach their goals.
Our journey has been one of growth and achievement. Last year, we celebrated three charter renewals, with one for five years and two for seven years, and all three schools ranked in the high achievement category in California. These accomplishments are a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing the best possible programs and support for our students.
Looking forward to the next decade, Sage Oak remains dedicated to maintaining a holistic approach to education that honors the uniqueness of each student. We will continue to strengthen and expand our programs, build community partnerships, and provide opportunities that empower our students to reach their full potential by the time they graduate from Sage Oak.
