The TK-8 Sage Oak Virtual Academy (VLA) offers hands-on, project-based learning with a mix of virtual instruction and independent study with a comprehensive curriculum and enrichment activities.
Students in this program will be provided with a Chromebook, all curriculum, and materials, and it also includes a grade-level specific field trip. Along with three days of direct instruction, students are also given the opportunity to participate in clubs and enrichment classes offered by academy teachers. No instructional funds are allotted to students in this program.
All of our students and parents should have the Canvas Student App downloaded on a device (Apple Store or Google Play Store) in order to clearly take work sample photos and upload them to Canvas and be able to track student progress.
Our K-8 College and Career Readiness Program helps students develop the curiosity, confidence, and essential skills needed to thrive in the future. Through engaging live Oakschool classes that explore multiple College and Career pathways and career-focused field trips, students explore real-world opportunities while strengthening skills such as self-awareness, growth mindset, communication, collaboration, responsibility, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
