Hello Virtual Learning Academy!

It was so much fun to see so many of you on Friday at our beach clean-up and social! It was such a special experience to serve alongside our VLA families and celebrate the beginning of the year together at the beach!

September Assemblies
This month, we’re excited to celebrate our September theme of service! We will have a Superhero Dress-Up Day, a student highlight from each class recognizing commitment to service, and an In-N-Out Excellence Award raffle for nominated students across classes.

TK-5th grade: Tuesday, September 29th at 1 pm
6-8th grade: Wednesday, September 30th at 1 pm

Sage Serves Update
Sage Serves is off to a great start! Our students have already served over 200 hours. Watch our tracker grow! Did your student attend the Huntington Beach Cleanup Day? You can log those hours!

Students can log service hours completed between May 1st, 2026-April 30th, 2027 and earn recognition for the positive impact they make in their communities.

To participate:

Watch for a confirmation email from sageserves@sageoak.education with next steps.

Sage Studio – New Episode: Oakschool 2026-2027: What’s New and Exciting
In this episode, host Tiffiny Webster welcomes new Oakschool manager Kass McInteer to discuss Sage Oak Charter School’s Oakschool program for the 2026-27 school year, which offers daily live synchronous instruction and has grown to 300+ class opportunities taught by about 20 instructors.
