Hello Virtual Learning Academy!

We have an exciting week ahead and can’t wait to gather for our Service Beach Clean-Up and Back-to-School Social at Huntington Beach this Friday, September 25th. It’s a special chance to serve together, enjoy the beach, and spend time with teachers and classmates. We hope to see you there!

Beach Clean Up and Beginning of the Year Social This Friday
We are excited to see so many of you at our VLA Beach Clean-Up and Social this Friday, September 25th, from 10 am – 2 pm. If you haven’t signed up, there’s still time to sign up here!

Please note that school photos will not be provided at this event. If you would like back-to-school photos for your student, we recommend connecting with a local photographer in your area.

Oakschool Lunch Bunch
Join us for the next session of The Lunch Bunch this Wednesday, September 23rd at 1 pm! Each session we will host a guest speaker who will share their journey, how they landed their job, and what their work is like. This week’s topic – Public Service! Grab your lunch and learn more about this exciting field!

NEW ART EXPERIENCE COMING TO REDLANDS!
A brand new in-person art experience is coming to the Redlands area on Wednesday, October 7th, from 1 pm – 3pm. “Meet“ Andy Warhol and dive into the colorful world of pop art and participate in an immersive art experience!

Clear for Takeoff: The High-Flying World of Aviation with Ryan Kilgore
Have you ever wondered how massive airplanes defy gravity? Join corporate pilot and mechanical engineer Ryan Kilgore as we step into the high-flying world of aviation! Over his 20-year career, Ryan has flown over 50 different aircraft, from skydiving demo flights and cargo planes to medical evacuation jets and Alaskan seaplanes.

During this interactive session, students will get a live tour inside and outside of Ryan’s airplane and participate in a hands-on physics experiment using paper to discover the science of how wings create lift!

Come prepared to learn about this high-flying career by joining Sage Stage THIS FRIDAY, September 25th, at 9 am.
