We had an absolute blast celebrating our promoting students on Friday as well as hanging out with our students at our end-of-year social. We are looking forward to our last assembly of the year tomorrow! This newsletter includes our summer resources as well as information for the start of next school year. We will send a summer newsletter in July and another in mid-August to prepare for the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited to celebrate our May and June themes of appreciation and celebration with TK-8th grade all together! We will have a beach dress-up day, a special S.A.G.E. scholar highlight from each class, and an In-N-Out Excellence Award raffle for nominated students across classes.TK-8th grade: Tuesday, June 2nd at 9 amUse this Zoom link : passcode: vla  Last Day of SchoolOur last official day of school is Thursday, June 4th. Please sign the learning log your teacher sends on Thursday. All report cards will be sent no later than Thursday, June 11th.  25-26 Materials ReturnWith the school year winding down, it is time to get ready to return your student’s 25-26 educational materials. Please click here to see a detailed list of items required for return along with specific instructions on how to drop them off. All materials need to be returned by Friday, June 12, 2026.  Summer ResourcesCheck out these summer resources that each grade has designed to help our students continue to practice essential skills over the summer. Grades 3-8 can also access Khan Academy’s free “Get Ready for…” math courses over the summer to prepare them for next year. Students can continue to use Clever and most learning apps all summer long as well! However, please note that iReady access will end on July 15th, so be sure to jump in and practice before then.  Parent 101 WebinarOur next Prospective VLA Parent 101 webinar is Monday, June 15th at 12:00 PM to learn more about our program. Click here to register, and please share this with anyone you feel may be interested.  9th Grade Honors ClassesCalling all 8th graders looking for a challenge! Our high school program is excited to announce separate Honors sections for our in-house English 9, Algebra 1 and Geometry classes. Students interested in taking an honors-level course will need to be enrolled in these sections which will utilize honors-level curriculum along with twice a week live sessions. Let your EA know in the fall that you’d like to enroll!  Save the Date! August Parent SummitMark your calendars… Sage Oak’s virtual August Parent Summit will be taking place the week of August 10th! The Parent Summit is an engaging and informative week designed to help you kick off the school year feeling confident, connected, and prepared. 20 virtual sessions will focus on our VLA program. These sessions allow parents/guardians to learn more about Sage Oak’s unique programs and offerings. Whether you’re new to our school or a returning family, these sessions will empower you to partner with us and support your child’s independent study journey. We encourage all parents to explore the session options and block time on your calendar now! Check out the brochure to help you begin planning.
