| Hello Virtual Learning Academy! It was so much fun to see so many of you on Friday at our beach clean-up and social! Serving alongside so many of you, and being able to celebrate the beginning of the year together at the beach was so special! We also had a wonderful time celebrating our students for their hearts for service at our September assembly last week as well. All information for sign-ups will be from your teacher. This is a special opportunity for teachers to meet one-on-one with parents to discuss each student’s personalized educational plan. To allow for these meetings, we will have early dismissal at 11:00 AM from September 30th – October 9th. Please note that intervention classes will still occur at the same time. Work will still be assigned in Canvas each day. Join us behind the potter’s wheel at “Muddy’s Studio” where students will learn to create and take home fired pieces. Two time slots are available for this Friday, Oct 3rd. This month, we’ll focus on making smart choices, taking ownership of our actions, and keeping our promises. Students can demonstrate responsibility daily by completing their homework, coming to school prepared, and being dependable. We’re excited to celebrate our responsible students at the end-of-month assembly. ![]() Oakschool Can you believe we are halfway done with Quarter 1? But not to worry! Quarter 2 starts on October 27th and there is still plenty of room in some one-of-a-kind Oakschool classes! VLA students who enroll in Quarter 2 by October 15th will have materials for 1 enrichment course and 1 art course shipped to them directly by the VLA team.
