| Happy Thursday Virtual Learning Academy! 🌼 This year is flying by! Tomorrow, May 16th, marks the end of Learning Period 9 (LP9). Thank you in advance for signing the Learning Period #9 log and ensuring all work is submitted for the learning period. As we look ahead to Learning Period #10, please keep in mind that all student work will need to be submitted by Thursday, May 29th. I also want to personally invite you to our final parent focus group of the year on Tuesday, May 20th at 2:30 pm via this Zoom link. All are welcome to attend and those who register will receive a Google Calendar invite. This will be an informal time to connect with other parents and our leadership team as we discuss ways to improve our program and events.  📍Sage Stage at 9am on Friday Join our Sage Stage tomorrow, Friday, May 16th at 9:00 AM as we welcome back Mr. George Maurer for Tales from a Bicycle Seat. He’ll be here to share stories about his bike-packing adventures all over the world. His perseverance and determination helped him learn about himself, as well as how human connection transcends language, geography, and culture. | 💡Middle School Updates The Breakfast Club @ 8am on May 20, 22, 27 and 29: Hey middle school students! Grab your breakfast and join us for an Oakschool Guest Speaker miniseries! Explore 5 different CTE related career industries from the actual professionals themselves. Sessions will cover industries like fashion, AI, medicine, military & public service, and the culinary arts. Students should sign up here for each session they are interested in attending. Future Ambassador Volunteer Hours: Don’t forget to work on your volunteer service hours if you are a future ambassador! You will need 50 hours total for the year to qualify for the Future Ambassador program. Please send your volunteer service hours sheet by May 23rd to the Middle School Coordinator, Lauren Holman, at Lholman@sageoak.education and contact her with any questions. |
 🎓 Sign Up: VLA End-of-the-Year Social! Sign up for our End of Year social on Friday, May 30th in Rancho Cucamonga. Promotion ceremonies for our Kindergartners, 5th graders, and 8th graders will also take place. Let’s celebrate together with your teachers and classmates before we head off to summer break! There will be summer-themed activities, amazing science activities, and a food truck! Families are also welcome to attend the Personalized Learning Academy (PLA) social on Thursday, June 5th at a regional location near you. We will have a textbook and supply drop off at these locations as well. Click here to sign up! |
 🤓 Summer Access to Clever Portal Students will retain access to the Clever Portal throughout the summer break unless dropping from Sage Oak. This includes district-wide applications such as Canvas, MagicSchool, Canva, and Adobe Express. Digital curriculum and supplemental resources such as IXL, Learning A-Z, and ABCYa (ends June 30) will also be available. Our teachers will be distributing a summer learning guide as the end of the year draws closer. |

 🌟 Staff Spotlight Hello! My name is Peggy Paules. I have two girls in 2nd and 3rd grade. My husband works at Cal State Fullerton and we go to a lot of sporting events. On the weekends I am a dance and soccer mom. I love walking around Disneyland, riding all the rides, trading pins, and being with my family. I like the warmth and relaxation of summer! |
