| Hello Virtual Learning Academy! It’s hard to believe we are already in our eighth learning period, and it’s the last week before spring break. We are looking forward to our assemblies this week as we celebrate our students’ accountability! We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, April 6th!  Assemblies this Week This month, we’re excited to celebrate our March theme of accountability! We will have a career dress-up day, a student highlight from each class, and an In-N-Out Excellence Award raffle for nominated students across classes. Tk-5th grade: Tuesday, March 24th at 1 PM 6-8th grade: Wednesday, March 25th at 1 PM Use this Zoom link [passcode: vla for both assemblies.]  Branch Out Summer Bridge Program K-7th We encourage every student to access our Sage Oak’s Branch Out summer program which offers complimentary, self-paced, pre-recorded video lessons to review the concepts from the previous grade level and prepare them for the next grade level. Sage Stage Get Creative with Character Design with Jose Zelaya Join us for another Sage Stage as we learn about the career of a Character Designer from Disney artist, Jose Zelaya! Jose followed his childhood dream of working for Mickey Mouse and now helps create characters for Disney shows like Lilo & Stitch and The Lion Guard. Come prepared to learn and create together for another Sage Stage on Friday, March 27th from 9:00-9:45am via this Zoom Link. Click here to sign up today! Science and Engineering Fair Science Fair Registration Is Open! We are excited to share that Sage Oak’s Science & Engineering Fair is coming up on April 10 in Fullerton! This year’s theme, “The Magic of Science: Where Wonder Comes to Life,” will feature student projects, hands-on STEM activities, and a live science show by Mobile Ed Productions. Competition participation is optional, and all students are welcome to join the fun. Please start chatting with your students about getting involved and exploring project ideas.
