| Happy March Virtual Learning Academy! Just a quick reminder that there is no live class tomorrow, as we have a professional development day for all of our teachers. We appreciate your understanding! We hope you will join us for special Art in the Park’s this Friday, and we look forward to seeing our 5th and 7th grade families at select physical fitness testing sites. Read Across America Week – March 2nd-6th Today, Monday, March 2nd – Friday, March 6th, is the first day of Read Across America Week! Read Across America Week highlights the significance of literacy and inspires all students to engage in reading activities. To join the fun, we invite students and families to share photos with a favorite book—whether one you’ve read or are currently reading! We’ll be showcasing these snapshots on our social media to celebrate our reading community together. Click here to share your photos! Discover your classmates’ favorite books and share the love of reading together!  Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Art in the Park, and Career Fairs Save the date for our March Events! Get ready for action-packed experiences! 5th & 7th-grade students will participate in California’s Physical Fitness Test (PFT), designed to inspire lifelong healthy habits. All students and families will explore exciting CTE career pathways and connect with industry professionals at the Career Fair, and unleash creativity through hands-on art activities at Art in the Park. This weeklong event features 28 live, vendor-led sessions showcasing high-quality curriculum options across grade levels, programs, and subject areas. Sessions run hourly from 9:00 AM to 3:45 PM, offering flexibility to attend what fits your family’s needs. Sage Oak students must register to attend.  Counseling Corner We are excited to share the March edition of the VLA TK–8 Counseling Connection Newsletter. Here are some quick highlights: Our “Donut Stress the Test” class starts today. We hope you join us! “Coffee with the Counselor” drop-in meeting this Thursday! New spring groups are starting this month! School counseling groups provide a safe and supportive place to learn social-emotional skills and build confidence in school and beyond.
