NOTE: All EAs will be out of office on Wednesday for our all-staff Summit. Responses to emails or messages may be delayed. 24-25 Master Agreements: In preparation for the 24-25 school year, please look for communication from your EA about course plans for next school as well as a Master Agreement for both parents and students to sign. Once the initial Master Agreement is signed, any course changes can still be made this spring or next August. LCAP Parent + Student Surveys: Let your voice be heard! We are asking all Sage Oak parents and students to take a moment and answer this short LCAP survey (no more than 5 questions!). The survey accepts text, voice or video responses. Please find the SIS you are located in and click the link for the Parent or Student survey. March 22: P2 Attendance – Signatures needed on LP7 Learning Logs (will be sent in the AM) March 29: For most classes, the firm due date midterm. Check your Canvas courses to verify. March 29: Deadline to drop a class without a withdraw (W) April 12th: 2nd semester progress reports sent April 12th: Last day to submit purchase order requests AVID 9 Applications Now Open: Do you have an 8th grader going into 9th grade at Sage Oak next year? Check out our High School AVID Program to see if it would be a good fit for your student. AVID is the #1 College & Career Readiness Program in the world and we offer it right here at Sage Oak. Watch this brief presentation video to learn more about it and have your student submit their application today! The deadline to submit the AVID application is April 12th, 2024. Coffee with the Counselors: Students and parents are welcome to attend this Thursday, March 14th at 10am on Zoom for any questions for HS counselor Coral! Class of 2024 Updates NEXT MONDAY “How to Understand Your Financial Aid Award Letter” webinar: Parents and grads can join Coral next Monday, March 18th at 1pm for a webinar on understanding financial aid award letters. Olvera Street Hangout: Join our Spanish teachers on Friday, March 15th to explore the sights, sounds and tastes of historic Olvera Street in Downtown LA! Visit shops, museums, restaurants and more! Forensic Science Guest Speaker: All high school students and parents are welcome to join Forensic Science class on Tuesday, March 19th at 12pm to listen to Michelle Sandberg, a parent of a Sage Oak senior and a Senior Criminologist at the LA Sheriff Crime Lab! She’ll be talking about the different fields of science in a crime lab, how the math students are learning now is used in the field and showing some of the cool equipment she uses. NEW Alvin Ailey Matinee Dance/Concert: High school students along with their siblings and families are invited to attend a concert/dance matinee at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (The Music Center) in Downtown LA on Friday, March 22 from 10am-12pm!
