![]() CAASPP Testing is Here! Testing month has arrived! Set yourself up for success by following these important tips: ✅ Get a Good Night’s Sleep – Rested minds think better! Aim for at least 8 hours of sleep before each testing day. ✅ Eat a Nutritious Breakfast – Fuel your brain with healthy foods to stay focused and energized. ✅ Charge Your Device – Ensure your Sage Oak managed Chromebook is fully charged and ready to go. ✅ Read Directions Carefully – Take your time, read each question thoroughly, and don’t rush. ✅ Use Scratch Paper – Jot down notes, work out problems, and organize your thoughts before answering. ✅ Stay Positive – Confidence is key! This Saturday, April 12th we will gather at the Pasadena Rose Bowl to represent Sage Oak and raise support for all Southern California Ronald McDonald Houses. ![]() Beach Cleanup Rescheduled – New Date: May 8th! The South Ponto State Beach Cleanup and Family Day has been rescheduled for May 8th—and we’re reopening sign-ups! This all-ages event is the perfect way to give back while enjoying the great outdoors. Plus, every Sage Oak student who joins us will score a pair of Sage Oak sunglasses and a beach ball—because helping the planet should be fun! ![]() Branch Out Summer Bridge Program TK-7th Grades Each year, students can access our Sage Oak’s Branch Out summer program. This is a complimentary, self-paced online program featuring daily pre-recorded video lessons aimed at keeping your student’s brain sharp over the summer break. It is not too early to plan for this program in order to use your school funds to purchase the workbooks. Students going into grades K-7th grade will watch short introductory video lessons, play online learning games, and complete workbook pages that review the concepts of the previous grade level and prepare them for the next grade level. The Summer Bridge workbook can be purchased from Carson Dellosa for the grade that the student will be entering next year. The middle school math program consists of short video lessons reviewing pre-algebra and algebra concepts with accompanying practice worksheets. No curriculum is needed for the middle school program. ![]() National Honor Society Applications Now Open! Sage Oak is now accepting applications for the National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). These esteemed organizations recognize and promote excellence in scholarship, leadership, character, and service. To be eligible, applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and demonstrate a strong commitment to community service and leadership. The application deadline is May 9th, and selected candidates will be notified of their acceptance in June. Students who are already members do not need to reapply. ![]() Purchase Order Deadline Please note the deadline to request Purchase Orders for the remainder of the school is year is this Friday, April 11th! All student order request must be submitted to your teacher by this deadline. This includes Materials (EMR) and Services (VCI) Purchase Orders. This deadline is in place to allow teachers enough time to submit all of the requested orders by their deadline, to ensure that all orders are fulfilled on time! |
