We can empower students by fostering a stronger sense of belonging and connectedness within our school and community, equipping them with calming techniques to manage stress, and linking them to crucial mental health resources if they feel overwhelmed. We would like to highlight the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, a vital resource that offers free, confidential help 24/7. The Lifeline’s #BeThe1To movement outlines five straightforward steps to help recognize signs of distress and effectively support a loved one in a time of crisis, which can be life-saving. If you have any questions about these steps, or if you need guidance or resources for navigating conversations about mental health, please do not hesitate to reach out to our School Counselors. Together, we are committed to ensuring every student feels safe, understood, and supported. |
