🌳 News & Updates![]() Spring iReady Testing: The spring iReady testing window opens this Friday! The iReady is an important internal assessment tool that helps the school track student growth in English and math. All students in grades 9-11 should have signed up for testing sessions on the Student iReady Sign Up. (If you haven’t, please sign upno later than Wednesday, May 7th.) Important iReady Details All 9th, 10th and 11th graders will complete the iReady Testing window is Friday, May 9th through Friday, May 16th There will be no live classes and no work assigned in Canvas May 12-May 16th Students will select at least one test session each day on the Student iReady Sign Up by Wed, May 7th NEW The Zoom iReady proctor schedule will be sent on Thursday by your EA ![]() National Honor Society Applications: Applications for the new members to the National Honor Society (NHS) are now open. (Students who are already NHS members do not need to reapply) To be eligible, applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and demonstrate a strong commitment to community service and leadership. The deadline is Friday, May 9th for any NEW qualified students to submit the NHS application! For questions please contact Christy Hartman. ![]() Crafton Hills College Partner Sections for Sage Oak: Sage Oak is once again partnering with Crafton Hills to offer sections of college classes just for our students! Students can select from core and elective classes over summer and fall semester. Reach out to your EA with questions or follow the step-by-step directions HERE. Please check with your EA if you will need to participate: Two 4-week sessions: June 9th – July 3rd and July 7th – August 1st Students will work on one course at a time Most students are able to finish one semester course per 4-week session No cost to students Students who received an F in a course this school year must participate Students who would like to get ahead and take classes for advancement over the summer can sign up for classes at a transcript-producing program such as a community college, Mr. D Math, Silicon Valley HS or BYU. Order yours HERE. 🎓 CLASS OF 2025 🎓 TO DO Ticket Out the Door Form: All graduates should be working on submitting the Ticket Out the Door form where they will list their post-high school plans and upload their resume and FAFSA. Graduation Webinar #3: If you missed our Grad Webinar last week, you can check out the slides and the recording for all the important information on dress code, cap decoration and day-of schedule! ![]() Graduation Tickets: All graduates and their families attending the ceremony should have received an email on Friday sharing how many guest tickets they have been issued. Note that there are no physical tickets and you will receive your seating assignment at check-in. **IMPORTANT** If you no longer need all of those tickets OR need to update the ADA accommodations for your guests that are attending, please reply to the email by this Friday, May 9th. 🔦 Student Spotlight Welcome to our Student Spotlight where we highlight some of our amazing high school students and their accomplishments in and outside of the classroom! ![]() Sage Oak 12th grader Breken Northgrave has been a dedicated student at Sage Oak since the third grade. The flexibility of Sage Oak’s model has enabled him to balance rigorous academics, including AP and college courses courses, with the demands of training and traveling as a member of the Jr. Ducks AAA hockey team. After 16 years in club hockey, Breken recently signed with the Blackfalds Bulldogs in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) to play Tier 1 junior hockey! Breken plans to continue growing as a player in preparation for NCAA hockey and has defer his college admission to several universities where he intends to major in environmental science and history. Congrats Breken! 🏒 |
📆 Events & Activities HS EVENTS CPR Certification: Knowing how to respond during an emergency is valuable for everyone to know, including those who babysit or work around children. We have multiple opportunities for students interested in getting hands-on CPR training and a two-year certification: Our Child Development Club is hosting a CPR Certification course on Friday, May 9th from 8:45am-1pm at Brookside Park in Redlands. The cost is $50 (no IFs). Please submit this form if you are interested in attending. Only 12 spots available. The Red Cross Club is also sharing a list of locations around Southern California where students can sign up to become a Red Cross Club member. Once you become a member, you can get CPR certified for free! Sign up on this form to receive more information. FRIDAY 🎳 Ventura Hangout: Join EA Nicole Gilliland for bowling on Friday, May 9th 3-5pm at Bowlero in Oxnard. Sign up HERE! NEW 💻 CSUSB Computer Science and Math Tour: Join us as we tour one of the Inland Empire’s hidden tech gems, Cal State San Bernardino! The tour will take place on May 12th from 11:00 to 12:00. We will tour the Computer Science and Math buildings as well as a general tour of the campus. Sign up HERE to attend! 🎭 Prom: If you already purchased your prom ticket, get ready to dance the night away at the Anaheim House of Blue’s on Saturday, May 17th for Sage Oak’s Masquerade Ball! NEW 🌅 End of School Beach Party: All high school students are invited to celebrate the end of the school year on Friday, May 23rd from 3-8:30pm at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach!
