🌳 News & Updates![]() Students Not Returning to Sage Oak: Students who are graduating or not returning to Sage Oak should check with their EA for a list of non-consumable items purchased with instructional funds that must be returned along with your Sage Oak Chromebook. Want to save files in your Sage Oak Google Drive? Students not enrolled for the 25-26 school year will lose access to their Sage Oak Google drive and email after June 6th. If you have documents, files or emails that you want to save, you can use these directions to transfer them. ![]() iCivics Student Fellowship Opportunity: iCivics offers a 10-month (August-May) paid fellowship program for HS students. Students take part in civic and media workshops, learn how to articulate and share youth perspectives on civic education, and showcase their own civic learning experiences. The program requires a commitment of 5–10 hours a month. Students can use this experience towards earning the Seal of Civic Engagement, get a free trip to D.C. and earn a stipend at the end of the program! Click HERE to learn more & apply by May 30th. ![]() Exploring Careers in Public Service: All students are invited on May 28th from 2-2:30pm for a Q&A Zoom to explore careers in law public service with Dan Settle, a seasoned expert with over 17 years of law enforcement and experience as a high school and community college CTE Criminal Justice instructor! If you are interested in a future in public service, law enforcement, or forensic science, you won’t want to miss it! Sign up HERE and a Zoom link will be sent to you. ![]() Crafton Hills College Partner Sections: There is still time to enroll in our partner sections with Crafton Hills College for Summer or Fall! Reach out to your EA for more details or assistance registering! See the Summer/Fall class list or access the step-by-stepdirections to sign up for Crafton partner sections. ![]() Summer School: Sage Oak offers credit recovery courses over the summer for students who have received a D or F in a core class that they need to make up. Summer school will consist of two 4-week sessions: June 9th – July 3rd and July 7th – August 1st. Students who received an F this school year must participate. NOTE: Students who would like to get ahead and take classes for advancement over the summer can sign up for classes at a transcript-producing program such as a community college, Mr. D Math, Silicon Valley HS or BYU. Order yours HERE. 🎓 CLASS OF 2025 🎓 NEW Graduation Ceremony Information: All graduates and their families who will be attending the live ceremony can see our Class of 2025 Ceremony Info document for details on parking, schedule, what to bring, local sips/eats and more. If you have any questions please reach out to HS Coordinator, Kate Bayless. TO DO Ticket Out the Door Form: All graduates should be working on submitting the Ticket Out the Door form where they will list their post-high school plans and upload their resume and FAFSA. Reach out to your EA if you have questions! Due by May 30th. Colleges STILL Accepting Applications! If you’ve decided you DO want to apply to a 4-year college, it’s not too late! There are many colleges that are still accepting applications for Fall 2025. 🔦 Student Spotlight Welcome to our Student Spotlight where we highlight some of our amazing high school students and their accomplishments in and outside of the classroom! ![]() Sage Oak 11th grader Elizabeth King is passionate about Youtube and drawing. She has her own Youtube channel called ArtisticArena with over 55,000 subscribers. Some of her video shorts have millions of views! She is focused on building a multi digital footprint business based on her passion for drawing. This year Elizabeth joined the Sage Oak entrepreneurship class to better understand finances and networking to enhance her business aspirations. After high school, Elizabeth wants to continue making Youtube content and possibly join the military. |
📆 Events & Activities HS EVENTS 🐻 UCLA Campus Tour: High school students are invited to tour the UCLA campus on Wednesday, May 28 at 2:45 PM. The guided tour will last approximately 1.5 hours and will involve lots of walking – comfortable shoes are highly recommended! Please plan ahead to account for LA traffic and parking delays. Sign up HERE. 🌅 End of School Beach Party: All high school students are invited to celebrate the end of the school year on Friday, May 23rd from 3-8:30pm at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach!
