Look for it every week!![]() Upcoming Important Dates: May 11 – 15 i-Ready Testing Window May 15 Last Day of LP9 May 18 First Day of LP10 June 4 Last Day of School! 🗓️ 25-26 Academic Calendar ✅ iReady Testing There will be NO live sessions this week as students continue completing their Local i-Ready Assessments. Students should continue attending the i-Ready proctor sessions they signed up for until both their ELA and Math Diagnostic Tests are fully completed. i-Ready Proctor Schedule Once testing is finished, this is a great opportunity to focus on catching up, improving grades, or even finishing courses early as we head into the final stretch of the school year. The countdown is on — there are only 3 weeks left of school, so let’s finish strong! 📚AP Course Survey Have you been hoping to take a specific AP course that we don’t currently offer in-house? We’d love to hear from you! Each year, we look for ways to expand our course offerings to better meet student interests and goals. Please take a moment to complete our AP Course Survey and let us know which AP course(s) you would be excited to take in the future! 👉🏼 AP COURSE SURVEY👈🏼 📝Summer School Credit Recovery 👉🏼 Summer school opportunities are available for free through Sage Oak’s in-house Credit Recovery Program for students needing to make up credits. Students who have failed a course will receive communication with details about required enrollment in our in-house credit recovery summer school program to make up missing credits. This program is also available for students who earned a D and would like to improve their grade. Getting Ahead 👉🏼 Students interested in accelerating their coursework can enroll in a program, but please keep in mind the following criteria: There are no summer instructional funds – all summer school options must be paid out of pocket The school must be UC a-g and NCAA approved The course(s) must start after Sage Oak ends (June 4) and finish prior to the start of the 26/27 school year (August 24) The school must be transcript producing – these transcripts must be sent directly to Sage Oak after the course is completed See below for some suggested options and more details👇🏼! ☀️Summer School Options for High School Students Sage Oak Appreciation – Chance to win a gift card! This week, Sage Oak High School is celebrating… ![]() 🌟Alisha Leisten (12th Grade)🌟 Sage Oak senior Alisha Leisten is an inspiring example of creativity, leadership, and academic excellence. At just 17 years old, Alisha has already graduated summa cum laude from Saddleback College with an AA-T (Associates of Arts – Transferable) in Communication Studies and also earned her IGETC certification through Sage Oak’s dual enrollment program. She is also an active member of ASB, serves as Treasurer for Sage Oak’s National Honor Society, and has earned both the Seal of Biliteracy in American Sign Language and the Seal of Civic Engagement.Beyond academics, Alisha is an accomplished singer, songwriter, actress, and cirque artist performing under the stage name Alisha Liston. Earlier this year, she earned international recognition at VIVA Fest, placing 2nd in both the PRO dance trapeze and Emerging Pro rope categories. After high school, Alisha plans to continue growing her music career and business while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Applied Business. We are so proud of all she has accomplished and excited to see what she does next! ![]() Mental Health Awareness May 11–15 is Student Mental Health Week, a state-wide initiative to highlight the importance of mental well-being for student success. By sharing resources and promoting self-care, your school counselors hope to encourage conversation, reduce stigma, and support a school community where every student feels seen, heard, and valued. Please utilize this mental health resource for our high school students, and reach out to your HS counseling team, Ms. Coral (A-L) and Ms. Mackenzie (M-Z), to say hello or ask any questions. NEW CC Partnership with Irvine Valley College We are excited to offer two Irvine Valley College partner classes in Fall 2026! Students can earn both college and high school credit through asynchronous online courses with reserved seats just for our high school students. Currently, the available courses for the 26/27 school year include U.S. History since 1865 (meets the U.S. History graduation requirement) and Introduction to Psychology (elective credit). Join this informative FREE webinar hosted by tutor.com on May 19th to explore the different pathways available after graduation, including military service, trade/technical school, traditional college, and direct-to-workforce employment. Students will learn about the benefits and challenges of each option, how to prepare during high school, and what future opportunities each path can offer. These final weeks are incredibly important, so continue staying on top of assignments, checking your grades, and finishing your courses strong. A few senior specific reminders… There are NO live sessions this week due to the school-wide i-Ready testing 12th graders do NOT take i-Ready! Students are welcome to drop in at any time during the event window. Volunteers will assist with basic maintenance and animal care, so be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Sign up HERE! 💃 NHS Prom Attire Collection & Exchange Wednesday, May 27 Do you have multiple fancy dresses you used for a single night, never to touch them again? Make them useful by donating them to those in need! On May 27th at Red Hill Park in Rancho Cucamonga, the National Honor Society will be hosting a dress collection. Stop by between 11am-2pm with your attire, and even check out some of the pieces other students donated. If you aren’t graduating, feel free to exchange dresses with other students for next year’s Sage Oak events. Any remaining dresses will be donated to financially burdened teenagers.
