This week, Sage Oak High School is celebrating… 🌟McKinley Cunningham (9th Grade)🌟 ![]() McKinley is a driven and talented student who is already making strides in her professional acting career. She has been working on Nickelodeon’s The Thundermans: Undercover and appearing in national commercials for brands like Walmart and Rubbermaid. Despite her busy filming and audition schedule, McKinley remains committed to her academic growth and consistently puts forth her best effort in her studies. Outside of acting, she is deeply involved in dance—performing, competing, and continuing to refine her skills through classes and training. While filming in Vancouver, McKinley balances her education alongside her professional responsibilities, demonstrating impressive discipline and time management. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue her acting career while also pursuing her dream of opening her own dance studio. Getting accepted is a huge accomplishment, and it’s worth celebrating! Scholarship Opportunity: The Temecula Rotary High School Senior Servant Leader The Temecula Rotary High School Senior Servant Leader Scholarship honors graduating seniors who demonstrate leadership, integrity, and a strong commitment to serving others. A total of $10,000 in scholarships will be awarded to students in the Temecula Valley who make a meaningful impact in their communities. Students pursuing college, trade school, military service, or the workforce are encouraged to apply! Apply Here! 📸 Senior Submission – deadline extended! Submissions are still open for graduates to submit a headshot, quote and baby pictures that are used for the ceremony slideshow. The headshot will also be used in the yearbook. If you do not wish to submit one or more of the items, please indicate that on the first question. Extended Due Date 👉🏼 April 10th 🎟️ Graduation Tickets Each graduate will receive 5 tickets for family and friends to attend the ceremony. (Note: The graduate does not use one of the tickets.) All graduates and their families attending the in-person ceremony must complete the Graduation Guest Ticket Requests form. Please submit the form once per family to indicate: if you will use your 5 allotted tickets if you need fewer than your 5 allotted tickets if you want the 5 tickets AND are requesting additional tickets (PLEASE NOTE: Our ability to issue additional tickets will depend completely on whether other families need all 5 of their tickets) This form is due by Friday, March 27th! Steelman Bragato Scholarship The California Charter Schools Association is awarding ten scholarships of $2,000 each to graduating seniors from CCSA member charter schools – including Sage Oak! Chicano Park: Mural & Photography Walk Thursday, March 26 Join us for a walk around Chicano Park in San Diego, which boasts the largest concentration of Chicano murals in the world (over 100 paintings)! We will begin by visiting the work of Ramsés Noriega, a pioneering artist/activist of the ’60s and ’70s, at the Chicano Park Museum & Cultural Center. Matches will use a 15|10 time control with random color and follow a Swiss-style format, giving players multiple chances to compete—even after a loss.
