Student Spotlight Welcome to our Student Spotlight where we highlight some of our amazing Sage Oak high school students and their accomplishments in and outside of the classroom! Although only in 10th grade, Yusra Vadakkan is already dedicating a significant amount of her time towards helping others. She volunteers weekly in the pediatrics department at her local hospital by passing out meals to patients, assisting in the patient discharge process, and cleaning the heavily-used play area. She also has started Sage Oak’s very own Red Cross Club! This has provided our high schoolers the chance to get involved with their communities with service opportunities and knowledge on disaster relief programs. In addition to pursuing a career in the medical field, Yusra is also an excellent writer and hopes to one day or create her own animated movie or series! |
